Whinfell Quarry Engagement Shoot
I met the lovely Liam and Natalie at one of my regular Sheffield Wedding fairs. At that point they had a rough idea on what they were planning for their wedding and settled on Eyam Hall, just outside of Sheffield in the peak district. It’s a stunning venue and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding.
Liam and Natalie didn’t have a specific location in mind for their engagement shoot so I chose a little hidden find, the Whinfell Quarry public gardens in south Sheffield. It’s an absolutely beautiful area that has been carefully put together by volunteer gardeners.
We arrived at evening time, to capture that beautiful light I always talked about. We walked around the gardens exploring and I captured the both of them in the most natural way possible. This gave me the perfect opportunity to work out what Liam and Natalie would want from me on the day.
We talked about the wedding and what final plans they had to sort out and what kind of group shots they wanted. I always advice my couples not to exceed over 5 different sets of group shots otherwise you are taking away valuable time for us to capture your day naturally, which is what we are all about here! Also, I remind my couples that you need to be in each group shot so don’t exhaust yourselves. Make it how you want it to be!
Calum will be doing videography for Liam and Natalie on the day, which we are beginning to implement in our wedding packages, so stay tuned for more information!
I can’t wait to photograph Liam and Natalie’s day. They have a lovely theme, and with the weather being as it is, I have no doubt it’s going to be a classically beautiful day.
Here are just a few photos from their engagement session.
