Sheffield Town Hall Wedding

I recently shot Alex & Liz’s Sheffield Town Hall wedding it was a really relaxed affair. They are both based in Sheffield, their families came together from across the country to celebrate. Even though it was a bit of a rainy day, the winter gardens allowed shelter for the group and couple photos and we also pulled off a fab confetti line with their hired VW Van! Their day had a splash of urban quality mixed with tradition.
It was a complete contrast to their engagement shoot, which was held a few months earlier on a wintery yet sunny day at Padley Gorge. I loved the contrast of the peak district and the urban side of Sheffield. We complemented their day with mixing traditional elements with urban backgrounds. Alex and Liz both had couples shots in the winter gardens and down Sharrowvale Road near the street art.
They chose Nonna’s for a relaxed wedding breakfast for their small party of wedding guests. Their flowers and decorations were simple and beautiful. Nonna’s did a wonderful job of hosting and providing the relaxed atmosphere they were looking for.
Calum covered video for the wedding, which we are slowly implementing into what we offer. As a couple, we work really well together and can bounce off of each other throughout the day meaning we cover everything from each angle.
Alex and Liz loved their package and especially their prints, and that’s why I always include prints with my packages! It’s something tactile to look at straight away and it’s something that these days we don’t do enough now that all of our images tend to sit on the computer! I love seeing the images physically printed it makes it even more special and personal!
I loved shooting Alex and Liz’s wedding and I wish them all the happiness in the world with their new chapter.
