Priest House Hotel Wedding
My day started off doing the groom prep, as I was second shooting for Danny Jack Photography. Groom prep was in a local pub near the church. It was a boiling hot day, but luckily the church was nice and cool and a saving grace for many of the guests attending. The church was in a beautiful village in Derbyshire, not too far from their reception venue and was the Bride’s hometown.
Once the ceremony was over, we quickly started on the family photos and bridal party photos and luckily there was an abundance of countryside around us so we were never short of a beautiful background. Afterward everyone headed to the Priest House.
I got there earlier, and photographed all the details, the cake, flowers, the table decorations and the cutest table with a polaroid camera on. You could tell the couple had put a lot of thought into the day. They had also hired an ice cream cart, so everyone had an ice cream, including myself and Danny. Definitely well received on such a hot day.
The grounds of the Priest House were stunning and made a perfect backdrop for a few couples’ photos and group photos. It was a perfect atmosphere with the summer sun low in the sky.
The rest of the day was spent capturing loads of candid’s of family and friends, tears being shed during speeches, people dancing and throwing drinks around and confetti cannons during dancing! It was a magical hot summer evening and everyone embraced the moment!
