I recently second shooted for the lovely Gemma of Romy Lawrence Photography who I will joining on a couple more weddings this year.
It was a beautiful wedding on the outskirts of Birmingham, where Sarah and Craig got married. The venue was the Forest of Arden Hotel and Gold Club and it had lovely grounds and the most crazy carpets that gave off a Wes Anderson feel. Which I simply loved.
Gemma and I had our schedule for the day, and after initially photographing Craig and his son Henry for the Groom prep; I made my way to the venue to meet up with Gemma and join her photographing the beautiful bride Sarah and her bridesmaids.
The wedding ceremony was lovely, and Henry was very much involved being held by Craig during the vows. It was very much a ceremony of family and love and union.
Everyone there had such a fun spirit. Kids running around. People enjoying silly massive glasses and fun props. It was perfect. We made sure to keep the family group photos to a minimum so everyone could back to their drinks and chat. Gemma and I also scouted out a perfect spot for the Bride and Groom photos and found a little meadow area at the back of the golf course and snuck off to get some lovely shots. We even found a little woodland area as well. Bonus!
Congratulations to Sarah and Craig. It was a pleasure joining Gemma and I can’t wait for the next wedding!
